We have received an application seeking retrospective Development Approval for an existing unauthorised 'Trade Supplies' use (Baldivis Hire and Westworks Plant Hire) to continue operating from Lot 455 (No.3) Pug Road, Baldivis. For context, there is an existing Landscape Supply Centre (Baldivis Firewood and Garden Supplies) operating from the property which received approval in 2005. The proponent intends to continue the Landscape Supply Centre in conjunction with the Trade Supplies use.

Details of the 'Trade Supplies' operations are provided below:

• Baldivis Hire provides trailer hire (cage trailers, box trailers, car trailers and motorbike trailers), as well as lawn and demolition equipment hire, such as bobcats, mini excavators, lawn mowers, compactors, vertical rammers, jackhammers etc

• Westworks Plant Hire provides civil construction equipment hire including wheel loaders, excavators, drum and padfoot rollers, skid steers and positracks, a watercart, and various associated earthmoving attachments

• customers may attend the site during operating hours to view and collect machinery and equipment available for hire. A prime mover, wrecker, semi-trailer and drop-deck are also stored on-site for the transport and delivery of equipment and machinery associated with Westworks Plant Hire
• the hours of operation are as follows:

Baldivis Hire	Westworks Plant Hire
Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm	Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm
Saturday, 8am-5pm	Closed on weekends
Sunday, 9am-3pm

• a maximum of four staff are proposed to be on-site at any one time in relation to the hire businesses
• no storage of hazardous, flammable, and/or combustible materials (e.g. fuel, tyres) is proposed on-site
• Retrospective Approval is sought to permit Baldivis Hire and Westworks Plant Hire to operate from the site until 2031.
