Proposal
In May 2024, the City granted development approval for proposed telecommunications infrastructure at Lot 504 Sixty Eight Road, Baldivis. This approval has since lapsed, and the applicant is now seeking to extend the development approval for a further two years to allow sufficient time to progress with the development.
The proposal involves the installation of a telecommunications facility in the form of a mobile telephone base station to be operated by Optus as part of its mobile network. The facility will include the following components:
- A 40 m tall monopole fitted with
- three 4G panel antennas
- seven 5G panel antennas
- an overall finished height of approximately 42 m, inclusive of all attachments
- a secure equipment compound at the base of the monopole to accommodate ancillary infrastructure required for operation, including remote radio units, cabling and safety equipment.
Plans and information to support the application are available on this page.
