We have received an application seeking approval for an Amendment to Development Approval (Extension of Time) - Extractive Industry (Sand Extraction) at Lots 1 and 2 (No.142 and 148) Baldivis Road and Lot 803 Kulija Road, Baldivis.

The history of the site and proposal details are summarised as follows:

• The land has been excavated for sand intermittently since 2016 in accordance with the development approval at that time
• a number of approvals (extensions of time, some modifications) have been issued for the land use, with the most recent being in 2024 (with a two year time frame)
• an extension of time is now being requested with the details of the previous approval remaining the same
• it is estimated that an additional 300,000 m³ of sand can be extracted from the subject land.
