Proposal

We have received an application seeking approval for an Amendment to Development Approval for Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation (USTRA) (Holiday House) at Strata Lot 1 (No.69B) Parkin Street, Rockingham.

The proposal is summarised as follows:

  • The City granted a 12 month approval for the dwelling to operate as a Holiday House in June 2025. The applicant now seeks approval to operate on a permanent basis
  • the dwelling comprises of four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, with space available for three parking bays on site
  • a maximum of eight guests may occupy the premises at any one time, and non-registered guests will be required to leave the property by 10pm each night
  • each booking will require a minimum three night stay
  • parties and events will not be permitted, with quiet hours from 10pm-7am Monday to Saturday, and 10pm-9am on Sunday and public holidays
  • Rockingham Visitor Centre are to be the exclusive managing agent and will act as the primary contact for any disturbances or complaints with a 24/7 contact available
  • a house management plan has been submitted to support the application.
