Proposal

We have received an application seeking approval to undertake preparatory site works on the above land comprising:

  • Construction of a 1.5 ha limestone works platform incorporating approximately 5,000 m² of imported limestone material. The height of the platform will be approximately 0.44 m above current ground level, with a total depth of 0.55m
  • construction of an access track with 0.55 m thick limestone to provide construction access to the works area
  • stripping approximately 0.1 m of topsoil across a 19 ha area to manage the floodplain characteristics of the land post-development so as to offset the loss of flood storage volume from the limestone pad, access track and stockpile construction.

The works are intended to provide solid ground for future bulk earthworks (not included as a part of this application) to commence through winter once the appropriate approvals are obtained.

Plans and information pertaining to the proposal are available on this page.
